The Gaps that ARTinCC hopes to close, will connect to multiple fabulous Trails that have been developed over the past several decades. North of Emlenton, there are the Allegheny River Tail, Justus Trail, and Sandy Creek Trail, managed by the Allegheny Valley Trails Association (AVTA) www.avta-trails.org . Two and one half miles of the Allegheny River Trail developed by AVTA are in operation south of Foxburg to the Parker Bridge. Once East Brady is reached – the Brady Tunnel just north of East Brady currently is under repair – the Armstrong Trail travels from Rosston to the south of Ford City and the Redbank Valley Trail travels from the mouth of Redbank Creek just below East Brady northeast up to Brookville. Current trail maps and conditions for these wonderful sister trails can be found at www.Armstrongtrails.org and www.redbankvalleytrails.org . All of the trail groups in this area are part of the Erie to Pittsburgh Trail Alliance, including ARTinCC. See www.eriepittsburghtrail.org to learn more. Eventually, all the bike trails will be connected from Erie to Pittsburgh, to Washington DC. We still have a ways to go, but many are working on Gaps as are we.
