Dec 2, 2021 – Workday 3 – Foxburg Trailhead
Greetings ARTinCC Friends,
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We are scheduling another workday primarily for our 6 chainsaw certified volunteers. But we need additional volunteers to move felled trees and brush to piles for chipping. The goal will be to clear remaining brush and small trees around the warehouse and the trailhead up to Shoup’s parking lot. We made great progress at our two previous workdays and this day should put us in position for the next big thing.
At this time it appears that most of our volunteers are available on Thurs Dec 2 which is expected to be the warmest day so far with the temp predicted to reach 50 degrees in the afternoon. We will start at 1:00pm working until we tire, or finish the job or darkness falls….. whichever comes first. We will meet at the trailhead on the north side of the Rt58 bridge into Foxburg.
Once this initial clearing is done, and after we have our Erosion & Sedimentation plan approved and any preliminary requirements in place, we can bring in machinery to grub and contour the ground.
