Nov 6 Workday Progress Report
18 volunteers came to Foxburg on Nov 6 to help clear brush from the trailhead and parking area. We made a great deal of progress and cleared out metal debris in preparation for machinery to come in and finish the brush cutting. As soon as we have our approved erosion and sedimentation plan in place we will schedule another workday. Thank you to all VOLUNTEERS for all the hard work. It was a chilly day but sunny and bright and the work kept us all warm. Enjoy this short before and after video showing our progress today. We welcome new volunteers always and if you can’t volunteer, we are grateful for any donations.
This trail concept has been 15 years in the making. Thanks to a DCNR grant and a very generous donation from a “Friend of the Trail”, ARTinCC owns almost 2 acres at the bridge which will become a focal point for the community. Our first two workdays were concentrated here to prepare the trailhead and parking lot area for detailed planning and design. ARTinCC has immediate needs which we hope to fulfill with volunteer help. We need someone who is familiar with grant applications. We need volunteers to help clear brush and debris to make way for heavy construction equipment. And, of course, we need DONORS.
