Dec 16, 2021, Workday #4 – Final clearing of the Trailhead

On Dec 16, 2021 Board members and committee members of Allegheny River Trail in Clarion County and a group of volunteers put in the fourth work day on the Foxburg to Emlenton link of the Erie to Pittsburgh Trail. Volunteers cleared the remaining brush and small trees along the western border of the trailhead.

After we pull the stumps along the western border we will be ready to lay the silt sock in compliance with our Erosion and Sedimentation Plan. Many thanks to Doug Bell, Fred Zelt, John Soroka, Ed Scurry, Charlie Platt, Gary Rhoades, Bill Fletcher, Toni and Marty Henry and Bob Jennings. All of your efforts will help immensely to reduce the amount we will need to request in grants and the matching requirements we will have to raise from donors. We thank you for your time and generosity. If other friends of the trail who can’t volunteer for work would like to donate, you can do so on our website:

Watch for announcements on our facebook page and facebook group and on our website about the next workday. Send your inquiries about salvage or tree removal to [email protected]. We hope to see you at our next workday!
