Thanks to our dedicated volunteers

The early morning hours of June 9th brought severe storms with high winds. Many power outages were reported. Central Electric Co-op had to postpone their volunteer day on the ARTinCC bike trail. We will plan to reschedule in the near future. 7 of our ARTinCC volunteer group did make it to help cleanup the demolished warehouse. Several of the volunteers set aside salvaged lumber to use on their own projects. We got about 1/3 of the pile burned and we need another day or two to finish the job. There is still a considerable pile of useful lumber that can be pulled aside as we feed the fire. Join us next time if you can. Many thanks to Bob Beran who brought his skidloader to feed the fire, move metal and concrete debris to the roadside for disposal in a dumpster and grade some of the ground alongside the wall. Thank you to our hard working volunteers, Mel Risinger, John Soroka, Jackson Shoup, Doug Bell, Vern Kern and Dennis Keyes. Photos illustrate the progress made and how much the site has improved. Stay tuned for the next workday announcement.
